Tony has lived in the Berkshires since the mid-80s, using his carpenter's skills to buy and renovate older homes in Egremont and Great Barrington. He and his wife have raised three children here, and been active in both non-profit organizations and town government. Tony served on the board of the Community Development Corporation of South Berkshire, as well as Construct, Inc. and the Great Barrington Rotary Club. He also served twice each on the Great Barrington Selectboard and Planning Board. Over the 30 years he has lived in the area he has earned both a Masters in Social Work and a law degree from Boston College and worked as the Town Administrator in Becket, MA.
Recently, Tony spent over three years working with architects and developers in both New York and Shanghai, overseeing the design and monitoring the construction of a 15-story, 500,000-square-foot building for the newly opened Shanghai campus of New York University. He found working in China to be a rewarding challenge both culturally and linguistically. Tony has worked in Germany and Switzerland and is fluent in both French and German, conversant in Spanish, and speaks rudimentary Mandarin. With his background in construction, real estate, and municipal law, and his experience working in various countries and speaking several languages, he is looking forward to being able to help both local and international clients find the perfect property for their needs in the Berkshires and Columbia Counties.
With his prior experience as a municipal lawyer and town administrator, he has focused his work as a broker on commercial and industrial properties as well as brokering the sale and purchase of businesses. He provides our clients with easy and immediate access to his extensive, in-depth, practical knowledge about permitting, zoning, land use, building, and other issues that confront commercial buyers and sellers.
For fun, Tony likes to cook for his family, read, play with their dog, and build Windsor and ladder back chairs and other furniture in a small woodshop. With his children growing, he and his wife are hoping to do more traveling, and exploring places they haven't been before.
