Gary, a native of Berkshire County, grew up on the family farm in Stockbridge. He graduated from the local high school and went on to get his degree in Agriculture Economics from UMass, Amherst. He is the long time owner/operator of a heavy-duty land management business and continues to take care of the 100-acre family farm in Stockbridge.
Gary started in real estate in 2001. His extensive client base of local property owners who knew and trusted him from his many years of helping improve their properties thrust him into a very active real estate career. Gary has been the recipient of numerous sales awards. He specializes in land and residential sales in the Southern Berkshire area.
Gary’s long history of being active in community affairs includes nearly 40 years of serving as Stockbridge Town Moderator, 15 years as President of the Stockbridge Sportsmen’s Club, past President of the Board of Corporations of the Berkshire Natural Resources Council, charter member of the Board of Directors of the Stockbridge Land Trust, charter member of the Stockbridge Historical Commission, and currently serves as a Co-chairman of the Bay State Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Gary has met and formed friendships with a broad spectrum of Berkshires residents through his many years of participating in his favorite hobbies. He was well known for his pitching in Berkshire County softball leagues and for his exceptional skeet shooting abilities with his famous antique double barrel shotgun dubbed “The Fencepost”. He enjoys horseback riding on the farm and on his trips to Montana wilderness areas.
When not enjoying their recently renovated home overlooking the glorious view of his family farmland, or taking advantage of the beauty and cultural amenities of the Berkshires, Gary and his wife, Linda, delight in frequent travel to the Caribbean for sun and relaxation.
Gary is excited to join the Stone House Properties LLC team. He looks forward to continuing to list premier properties and to helping people find the property of their dreams.
