Scott has had a long-term interest in both antiques and architecture, becoming a partner in his family's antiques business in 1984. Realizing that his business and social connections melded well with the real estate market, he joined Stone House Properties in 1991 when Sawyer Antiques became a satellite office. His knowledge of both the real estate and antiques markets has been a convenient and efficient solution in settling many estates.
Scott's community involvement extends to fund raising for The Lenox Library and for The National Alliance on Mental Illness. He was the founding president of the West Stockbridge Historical Society, a former president of the Lenox Club and served with the West Stockbridge Historical Commission and the West Stockbridge Volunteer Fire Department.
His interests are cooking, hiking, and skiing on the slopes of the Berkshire Hills.
He is at present lovingly restoring the West Stockbridge Grange building which he has shared with the community.
