Sheila and her husband, Randy, founded Stone House Properties in 1984 and are proud of Stone House’s longstanding tradition of excellence and its team of exceptional agents and associate brokers. The Stone House name and logo are fashioned after the 1824 stone house, known locally in West Stockbridge as The Marble House, where Sheila and Randy have enjoyed living for four decades.
Education and the arts have been lifelong passions. Sheila graduated from Smith College and holds a Master's Degree and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in School Psychology. Prior to becoming a school psychologist, she taught in Wilton, CT. Sheila served as chairperson of the Berkshire Hills Regional School Committee for many years. Currently, she sits on the board of the Berkshire Hills Fund for Excellence.
Recognizing the many organizations and cultural venues that contribute to making the Berkshires a special place to live, Sheila is always eager to provide her enthusiastic support and to attend as many of the Berkshire performances, exhibits, lectures and fund raisers as possible. She served for several years as Chairperson for the Chesterwood Advisory Council.
With a reputation for providing outstanding attention and service to buyers and sellers, Sheila has developed an extensive base of repeat clients and referrals. A leader in the primary and second home market, Sheila enjoys strong working relationships with co-broking real estate agents and professionals in related fields such as lawyers, architects, builders, engineers and town officials. A strong background in construction, renovation, restoration and land development enables Sheila to provide valuable experience and knowledge to her clients. Adept at solving problems and issues that arise during real estate transactions, she works effectively to bring about successful closings. She has held many leadership positions on the Berkshire Board of REALTORS® and the Berkshire Multiple Listing Service.
Born in Texas, Sheila grew up in New York, Vermont and Connecticut, and is eager to travel and see more of the US, especially the National Parks. She enjoys walking the beautiful Berkshire trails with Randy and their standard poodle. She and Randy are most pleased that their son, Peter, has returned from the south after completing his undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University and his PhD. at the University of Virginia to settle back in western Massachusetts with his family.
