Lori was born in Natrona Heights, Pa., on July 9, 1964, to Martha Rugh (Plever) and the late David Plever. She attended Kent State University, graduating with a major in business administration. She used that training to successfully create and grow every business venture she was involved in, from starting a bustling coffee shop to her partnership at Stone House Properties Real. Lori is well known in our Berkshire community as a friend, a realtor, West Stockbridge Conservation Commission member, board member of the West Stockbridge Historical Society, and as a director of the Berkshire County Board of Realtors.
Lori will be most remembered for her kindness, vivaciousness, her robust love of life, and her smile. She approached each encounter with warmth and humanity. She was an avid tennis player, swimmer (especially in the Bay at the Cape), hiker, dancer, and as the consummate hostess, created many memorable dinner parties for family and friends. She loved her friends and made each one feel they were the most important person in the world. She loved being swaddled in cashmere; she loved her dogs, Cordelia, Isaac, Cooper, and Oskar; and she always wished she spent more time with horses!
Lori leaves her husband Lloyd “Joe” Rose; her mother Martha Rugh; sister, Jodi Plever Reimer (Chas.); her nieces, Chelsey Reimer (Derek Edwards) and Jessa Doutt (Devin); her stepdaughter Katie Rose; her grandchild Jean-Luc Ruel; and a host of friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Berkshire Humane Society. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
