Berkshire County families, businesses, and cultural institutions have been hit hard due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic. We’ve been a part of the Berkshires community since 1984 and our agents live and work in Berkshire County, MA, and Columbia County, NY. Community outreach and involvement is part of the Stone House Properties mission. COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund for Berkshire County
Starting in March, the COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund for Berkshire County began a rapid deployment of resources to help nonprofit groups support Berkshire County residents with food, shelter, and health services. Led by Berkshire United Way and the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation in partnership with the Northern Berkshire United Way and Williamstown Community Chest, the fund awarded $2.96 million in grants to 97 organizations responding to these basic needs. Massachusetts COVID-19 Relief Fund
Launched by Massachusetts First Lady Lauren Baker and the One8 Foundation, the Massachusetts COVID-19 Relief Fund supports those most affected by the COVID-19 health crisis, including the homeless, people with disabilities, immigrant communities, and those facing food insecurity. Although the last day to donate to the fund was July 13, you can donate directly to community foundations and food banks to keep up relief efforts . Nonprofits that serve Berkshire County include the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation and the Food Bank of Western MA.
Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation Neighbor-to-Neighbor Fund
The Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation’s Neighbor-to-Neighbor Fund provides emergency aid for local residents through grants up to $1,000 to help with overdue utilities payments, medical bills, short-term housing costs, and transportation. Checks are written to the service provider on behalf of the community member in need.
Berkshire Health Systems COVID-19 Relief Fund
A donation in any amount to the Berkshire Health Systems COVID-19 Relief Fund will help the Berkshire medical community continue to provide health care in the fight against the coronavirus disease.
Berkshire Community Action Council
Founded in 1966, the Berkshire Community Action Council works to fight the effects of poverty in the Berkshires. Donations to BCAC can help pay residents’ heating and fuel bills, stock food pantries, and weatherize homes.
