Claverack encompasses the hamlets of Churchtown, Claverack, Hollowville, Mellenville, and the Village of Philmont. The Village of Philmont operates as a municipality with its own local government and services. Founded in 1788, Claverack is home to many historic homes and buildings dating to the 18th century.
