Primary residents and second homeowners make up the population of Copake, located on the eastern border of Columbia County and close to the New York-Massachusetts state border. Copake is made up of several hamlets, including the hamlets of Copake, Copake Falls, Craryville, and West Copake. The town also includes the Copake Lake community of about 300 households. Copake Lake is the home of Copake Country Club, where the amenities include a championship 18-hole public golf course and the Greens farm-to-table restaurant.
